| I discovered a pleasing relationship between the circle and the folded larger circle, (the arc), while looking through some of my smaller treasures.
I wanted to use the tray as framework for a wall piece and they were both weldable !
I made a background of various plastic scraps. (acrylic mirror, and polycarbonate twinwall).
I shaped and glued them together to fit inside the body of the tray. I drilled 2 holes in the tray to apply mastic to secure them in place from the back..
I attached a hanger and suspended the chain and disc from it.To finish the top, I welded a screw to the frame and then could attach the floral part to it with a nut and washer.
I like the contrast of materials, light and dark and the repeating patterns within the parts. |
