This abstract wall sculpture is about repeated patterns.
I played with a very sturdy, tightly connected, length of chain.
I cut it in half, smoothing the ends. I pounded it with a heavy plastic coated hammer, to straighten It. I cleaned and joined the halves to make a patterned wall hung base.
I accented it with a coil of steel which had become attractively irregular through its varied life.
The result is pleasing interesting patterns and their shadows contrasting with a plain wall. It works well inside or outside. |
